Câini - Bogdan Mirica

Roman returns to the land he has just inherited from his grandfather. Fully decided to sell this barren estate, he is warned that his grandfather was a local crime lord and his men will not let go of the land – and their smuggling business – without a fight.

Bogdan Mirica
Up until 2005, Bogdan was an editor, copywriter and novelist, and then his passion for cinema took him to the University of Westminster, London, where he specialised in screenwriting. He returned to Romania, where he works as a screenwriter. In 2011, Bogdan wrote and directed his first short film, Bora Bora, which won him several awards in Europe. It was selected at numerous festivals, including those of Locarno, Warsaw and Thessaloniki. In 2014, his feature-length project Dogs was selected by the Cinéfondations’s Atelier in Cannes; in the same year, he was the Lauréat of the Fondation Gan pour le cinéma. Dogs was presented in the Un Certain Regard section of the 69th Cannes Film Festival.
