‘Brussels Philharmonic & Ictus’

Ilan Volkov, former principal conductor of the BBC Scottish Orchestra and inspirer of the trans-stylistic 'Tectonics' festival, is a real energy bomb - and a musical omnivore. Experimental music, classical or underground: no musical style is strange to him, he feels at home in every genre. Together with the musicians of the Brussels Philharmonic and Ictus, he has come up with a genuine 'science fiction' evening. It promises a wild trip between deep cosmic meditation, with Concerto Grosso No. 2 by Georg Friedrich Haas and delicious futuristic kitsch of Øyvind Torvund.
