‘Brussels Jazz Orchestra & Aka Moon’

After Aka Moon celebrated its 30th birthday in 2022, the Brussels Jazz Orchestra will have the same honour in 2023. The ideal opportunity to bring together for the first time both bands, each of which has had an impressive track record at home and abroad. Both bands have been part of the (inter)national jazz landscape for decades, but have never joined forces before. Fabrizio Cassol (saxophone), Michel Hatzigeorgiou (bass) and Stéphane Galland (drums) are known as Aka Moon for their unparalleled freedom, while the dynamism of the Brussels Jazz Orchestra is based on an orchestrated approach, respecting tradition but looking to the future. A combination which challenges both bands to go far off the beaten path and to enhance the imagination. Fireworks guaranteed.
