During the renovation of Studio and Salle M, Bozar collaborates with the temporary cultural hub Reset to present a sequence of 10 concerts of electronic music. These sensory spectacles unfold within the intimate ambiance of Reset's Auditorium, reminiscent of 70s Scandinavian style architecture. Each time, an international artist shares the bill with a local must see.
Ghent-based Annelies Monseré has outgrown the minimalist piano numbers that typified her early career. Twenty years later, her music has become more complex, she deploys her voice at the right moments and experiments with drone music and folk. With her latest album I Sigh, I Resign (2024), she partly returns to the intimacy of her early music: close-mic'd keyboards and vocals capture every detail, and drum computers contrast with organs and cello. Together with underground colleague Goldscammer, she delves further into her back catalogue. It's music that makes you feel comfy in the uncomfortable.
‘It's now or never’ you could say about the show of Oceanic & Tharim Cornelisse at Reset. For one very last time, they will present their project ‘Choral Feeling’. Oceanic, the alter-ego of DJ and producer Job Oberman, is in charge of the musical trip, illustrator Tharim Cornelisse of the live visuals. The self-titled album Choral Feeling (2023) already makes your mouth water: hypnotic vocal arrangements push the voice to its rhythmic and percussive extremes in a way that recalls both the playful maximalism of Jersey club and the cybernetic strangeness of video game music.
