Stéphane Mottoul (Organ - Prix Hubert Schoonbroodt)

Young Belgian organist Stéphane Mottoul studied under none other than Benoît Mernier and refined his improvisational skills in Saint-Maur, Reims and Paris. He pursued his training in Stuttgart, with Ludger Lohmann, David Franke and Hubert Moßburger, and is currently a student of Thierry Escaisch, Pierre Pincemaille and Lazlo Fassang at the Conservatoire national supérieur de Paris. To celebrate winning the Hubert Schoonbroodt prize, named after a man who dedicated his life to preserving the great patrimony of Walloon organ music, BOZAR has invited him to grace the organ in the Henry Le Boeuf Hall, where he will treat us to a programme with improvisation and music by Franck et Liszt.

The Hubert Schoonbroodt Fund and Prize have been created within the framework of the King Baudouin Foundation.
