Akhtamar Quartet

The Akhtamar String Quartet was formed in the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in 2011. The four young and enthusiastic musicians perfected their art with, amongst others, Guy Danel of the quartet of the same name. Akhtamar is the name of an Armenian legend, and refers to the Armenian miniatures of Komitas/Aslamazyan, which the ensemble regularly performs. In 2016, the young quartet was one of the six semi-finalists of Supernova (Klara) and was selected as one of the six quartets for the very first ‘Tremplin Jeunes Quatuors de la Philharmonie de Paris’. So it’s high time we welcome them on the stage of the Henry Le Bœuf Hall!
