‘Bozar Electronic Series: For Trainspotters Only’

​​​​Composer, bassist and harpist Ann Eysermans created the two-part project For Trainspotters Only for Europalia 21-22/TRAINS&TRACKS. For the first part, Eysermans developed a fugue for four diesel locomotives. Subject, counter subject, divertimenti, dominant and tonic pedals sound from four speakers, creating a four-part counterpoint full of hissing, snorting and thundering locomotive sounds. In the second part, unique images of a train journey are shown, with the sounds of four diesel locomotives and a harp aurally reinforcing the images.
