Abul Mogard & Marja De Sanctis AV Show

Abul Mogard was born in Belgrade and spent most of his life working in a Serbian factory. He states that he started making music after retirement as a way to reconstruct physical and emotional environments that were dear to him. His sound palette is created by synthesisers, farfisa organs and other devices, some of which he himself has built over the years.

Mogard has released most of his music on Not Waving's label Ecstatic and recently released an album on Houndstooth. He also scored the experimental film Kimberlin by Duncan Whitley.

“His bitter tracks trigger a tortuous bliss rarely found in the world of contemporary electronic music” (Berlin Atonal)

“Abul Mogard is an artwork in itself – a fully realized conceptual project, lush in complex layers, elegant in its simplicity, and fertile in intent.” (Headphone Commute).

Bendik Giske

Bendik Giske is a Norwegian artist and saxophonist using physicality, vulnerability and endurance as his tools of expression. Giske takes the building blocks of electronic music and plays it live – without layering or looping, to the best of his ability, allowing all the faults of being human come through. He cites Lindstrom’s arpeggio sounds and Evan Parker’s circular breathing as references, and by combining the two extreme sides of the scale, he seamlessly fuses freeform jazz and club music. As a composer, Giske has made original works for dance and theatre, and as a performer, he is as versatile as he is spellbinding. In 2019 he released his first full LP on Smalltown Supersound.
