‘Bozar All Over the P(a)lace - Nocturne Afropolitan’

During the first late-night Bozar All Over the P(a)lace of the year, we are launching Afropolitan, the festival in which artists and performers from the African diaspora make their voices heard. With the theme Dream and Deed, they not only provide food for thoughts but also encourage us to dream. 

The Envahisseurs collective will take over the Palace until late into the night, filling every corner and space with BLACK RADIO: dance, film, debates, words and music. The history and language of hip-hop are key sources of inspiration. Dancers, DJs and art world figures shake the memories of physical bodies and the history of the venue awake. Teddy Sanches and Deicy Sanches perform with Kassy, Rachad, Do Eazy, Mayvis, Lory and AUBREY. They invited Olivier Marboeuf (author, performer, curator) and Alesandra Seutin (performer, choreographer and teacher) to discuss Art and movement as a means of emancipation.

The festival will also inaugurate the brand-new Bozar Arcade, an open space for creative video games co-curated in collaboration with artist Laurent Mbaah. Dream and Deed are palpable ideas in the virtual sphere, removing the barriers between representations of bodies and the imagination.
