The Russian-Israeli pianist Boris Giltburg was the unanimously acclaimed first laureate of the Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2013. Since then, BOZAR MUSIC has never taken its eyes off him! In the wake of his concert with the NOB (19 October), he now returns with a programme that clearly demonstrates his ambition: Bach-Busoni's Chaconne and Liszt's Sonata - two monuments of the piano repertoire - as well as Schumann's poetic fantasies and some "minor" pieces by Bartók based on Bulgarian rhythms. A programme that, once again, allows Giltburg an opportunity to display his talents as a virtuoso performer and, above all, as a gifted musician.
