‘Borders, Territories, Europe’

The Next Generation, Please! project is proposing an open-air workshop at the Place de la Monnaie guided by the artist Anne Mortiaux. On the windows of the Muntpunt library, the artist will trace the borders of Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. Lines that continue on the square itself… dotted lines evoking faltering footsteps along the roads to exile. Within these borders: a workshop as an invitation to give free reign to your creativity.  On the programme:  clay modelling, fresco painting on the ground and writing workshops where you can set down your thoughts on borders and migration. Your completed creations will then be exhibited on the windows of the Muntpunt and your texts read out through a megaphone. A temporary and collective installation will take shape, combining surprise, reflection and a reappropriation of the public space.
