by Anouk De Clercq
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Centre for Fine Arts, Anouk De Clercq created 100 flowers. Flowers are never just flowers. Admire their bright colours and the joy they bring when the world goes dark. Each flower is a tribute to the artists, staff and partners who have contributed to the Palace's allure.
With its floral motifs, Anouk De Clercq's installation is also a nod to the architecture of Victor Horta. His work will be in the spotlight in 2023, a year in which we celebrate Brussels as the capital of Art Nouveau. An exhibition at the Centre for Fine Arts will be devoted to Horta and the grammar of Art Nouveau.
