‘Book Presentation Robbrecht and Daem (limited subscriptions)’

14 Dec.'17
- 19:00

Robbrecht en Daem – An Architectural Anthology presents a mine of information tracing the impressive journey of this famous architecture practice based in Ghent. This anthology identifies the recurrent themes that permeate their work, earning Robbrecht en Daem the international reputation they enjoy today. The authors highlight their collaborations with many contemporary artists, their respectful approach to the heritage bequeathed by the old masters of architecture (Mies van der Rohe, Victor Horta, Henry van de Velde, etc.) as well as the very special attention paid to the human dimension and design. A passionate journey through their achievements, richly illustrated with scale models, working plans, sketches and photographs.
