Unknown Talent In The Spotlight
This exhibition had to be postponed and then cancelled due to the sanitary measures and damage caused to our halls by the devastating fire last spring. Because Bozar, Sam Dillemans and Stichting IJsberg are keen to highlight new paths and to stimulate exchanges and connections between artists, IJsberg has decided to take on the organisation of the exhibition, thus offering these artists the opportunity to show their work to a wider audience. Belgicart, a quintessential public initiative, presents paintings, drawings and graphic art by amateur or little-known artists. The artwork is selected by a jury headed by painter Sam Dillemans and the event provides unprecedented visibility to local artists who answered our call for proposals. The diverse jury’s selection reflects the wealth of artistic talent in our country.
Belgicart is part of Next Generation, Please!, a Bozar project whose goal is to encourage the general public to create art.
