First Dance

For the first concert of its season, the Belgian National Orchestra invites you to join them in a mesmerizing dance between modernity and tradition. The hypnotic rhythms of contemporary composer Julia Wolfe set the stage in Fountain of Youth, blending minimalism with a touch of psychedelic rock.

The prestigious Augustin Hadelich takes center stage as the soloist in Dvořák’s Violin Concerto. This cornerstone of the repertoire captivates with its masterful fusion of classical structure and romantic expressiveness.

For the final dance, revel in the bright and exhilarating sounds of Rachmaninov’s Symphonic Dances. Setting himself apart from his contemporaries, Rachmaninov’s focus on accessibility ensures a composition filled with both depth and delight.

Created with the support of the Belgian Tax Shelter through Casa Kafka Pictures.
