‘Belgian National Orchestra, Adès & Gerstein’

This season, La Monnaie, Bozar and the Belgian National Orchestra will highlight the rich repertoire by the composer, Thomas Adès. We are particularly honoured to welcome this British composer to our large concert hall to conduct his Piano Concerto. The work's première in 2018 with the Boston Symphony Orchestra was an instant success and in the meantime, this concerto has been performed many times by the world's most prestigious orchestras. The composer will also give this Brussels audience the opportunity to get to know a few of the highlights from his ballet, Inferno. The programme will be completed by a performance of yet another British masterpiece, Gustav Holst's The Planets.
