The Bulgarian mezzo-soprano Vesselina Kasarova had a meteoric rise, but has proven that she belongs among the greats. The focus here is on sacred music, in Dvořák’s Biblical Songs and Messiaen’s L’ascension, which are followed by Brahms’s Third Symphony.
