‘Balthasar-Neumann-Chor und -Ensemble & Thomas Hengelbrock’

It is 22 December 1808. In Vienna, Beethoven has just completed his final performance as a soloist. The programme is a real marathon, featuring, alongside the Fifth and Sixth Symphonies, the Fourth Piano Concerto, the Choral Fantasy and a few movements of the Mass in C Major. The hall is cold and people complain about the length of the programme. Today, Kristian Bezuidenhout and the Balthasar-Neumann-Chor und Ensemble with Thomas Hengelbrock transport us to this very evening, but this time with a more concise format and in the cosy velvety comfort of the Henry Le Boeuf Hall.
