‘Balthasar-Neumann Chor & Ensemble’

5 Dec.'16
- 20:00

It has been more than 25 years since the German violinist and conductor Thomas Hengelbrock founded the Balthasar-Neumann Chor; and over 20 years that he has been touring the world with the Ensemble of the same name. Working with period instruments, the musician likes to come up with original programmes and introduce the public to little known works so that they too can share in his favourite works and passions. He is an all-round artist and has worked with plenty of big names such as the German choreographer Pina Bausch and the world-renowned Austrian actor, Klaus Maria Brandauer. This evening, Thomas Hengelbrock immerses us in the work of Mendelssohn with an anthology of compositions linked to the Nativity.
