Due to illness, the two remaining dates of Axelle Red's "A Very Special Christmas" tour are cancelled, including the concert on 28 December at the Bozar, Brussels.

Although she was born in February, deep down Axelle Red has always been a Christmas child. From a young age, she loved the magic of Christmas, the tree, the lights, the decorations, the ambiance and - this speaks volumes - the Christmas songs, which she invariably associated with a sense of human warmth, reconciliation and connection.

Those who were there during last year's successful Christmas tour will already be looking forward to new concerts, and so Axelle Red will also tour with 'A Very Special Christmas' in December 2023. Axelle is determined to make this an annual tradition! For the occasion, she once again delved deep into her record collection and made an anthology of her favourite Christmas songs for a full-length special. It delivered a collection of Christmas classics, mostly in a soul version. These timeless gems are accompanied by her own songs in a Christmas atmosphere.

Christmas always lasted a bit longer with Axelle and that is actually still the case. Not surprisingly, making a Christmas album has been on her personal wishlist for years. In autumn 2022, she finally released her long-awaited Christmas album 'The Christmas Album' (via Universal Music)! It became a collection of Christmas classics and carefully selected hidden gems.

For me, it's all about love, traditions, family, lots of music and memories of the cosy times I had growing up as a child and the end-of-year periods with my own family - and that's what I want to convey with these shows.
