“I want to sing like the birds sing, not worrying about who hears or what they think.” – Rumi
Humans have always sought wonder in tales, adventures and fantastic stories. Staring into the fire, the starry sky, or the pixels of a television screen, we still convey our need to dream. Following poet Rumi’s call to freedom, Arianna Savall, Petter Udland Johansen, Tristan Driessens and their musician friends invite you to explore new horizons, starting in medieval Scandinavia. In Norway, the skald would sing and tell the tales of gods, kings, queens, and heroic figures; the trobairitz and troubadours elsewhere in Europe praised Love and its unattainable beauty. This journey will finally take you to ancient Constantinople, where so many cultures and languages have intertwined, inspiring artists through the centuries.
