‘ANTHONY CHILD aka SURGEON & ALI WADE’

Under his Surgeon moniker, Anthony Child is one of the leading figures of kraut and industrial inspired UK techno. With a huge amount of releases, remixes and collaborations both as a DJ and a producer (with Regis as the British Murder Boys and with Ben Sims as Frequency 7), he recently released his first album under his own name. "Electronic Recordings from Maui Jungle Vol.1", released on Mego, sees Child leaving the dance floor to explore ambient-like soundscapes. Focussing on the development of timbre and texture, Child creates exquisite drones that give an insight in his improvisatory sensibility and dig deep into the potentials of modular synthesis.
