‘Annual concert of the Royal Symphonic band of the Belgian Guides’

7 Dec.'18
- 20:00

On the occasion of the Celebration of the King

This concert will commemorate in an intense way the end of the First World War by means of the choice of composers who have lived and experienced this sad and difficult period and of their compositions that have been written to illustrate these events. This will be an opportunity to appreciate the talent of the Belgian soprano Emilie de Voght who will also participate in the recited parts of some pieces.

This will be an evening full of discoveries that you should not miss! We all know this band and its trumpeter corps with an impressive history, its unique musical qualities and rightly international fame. Next to its major role at official and military ceremonies, including the National Day pageant, the Guides Band plays numerous concerts in Belgium and abroad, often performing Belgian composers. The Guides Band also frequently accompanies renowned soloists, including prizewinners of the International Queen Elisabeth Music Contest.
