‘Anna-Maria Hefele & Pieter Theuns’

19 Sept.'15

"Over Tunes"

A single voice singing in two parts. Sounds incredible? Maybe, but it is possible, in diphonic (overtone) singing. Anna-Maria Hefele is a trained opera singer and voice artist, whose speciality of overtone singing has made her a YouTube phenomenon. Together with the theorbo-player Pieter Theuns, "the lady with two voices" presents a unique programme in which she blends sounds characteristic of the Baroque with the pure sound of overtone singing. The duo's repertoire is highly diverse, ranging from medieval hymns to baroque arias and even pop songs.
