Presented by Creative District, Afrikaans Platform, Roots Events
The Brussels African Market (BAM) is an alternative market focused on Afro-Caribbean creativity. Launched in 2012 by Roots Events, BAM showcases fashion, jewellery, arts and crafts, etc. It should appeal to a broad public: children and adults who want to discover a continent that is often neglected, young people in search of their African roots, curious and open-minded people willing to discover new talent, and traders and entrepreneurs interested in taking advantage of this platform to network in a different way.

16:00 - 19:00 Live drawing by artist CASH (Carl Anders Sven Hultin)
In the context of Congolisation
The Swedish-Zimbabwean self-taught artist Cash lives in Brussels. Passionate about the visual arts, he does drawings and paintings, mostly portraits. Cash uses colour mixes and combinations and has developed an individual style that makes use of a variety of materials, including ball-point pens, brushes, and spray cans; he also makes dynamic, energetic use of knives and acrylic paint on canvas. For Cash, moreover, the act of creation is a workin itself, on a par with the object created. We invite you to discover this promisingartist during a live art performance on 17 January 2015 at BOZAR’s Afropean+ event.
