Recital

The Romanian diva Angela Gheorghiu has an exceptionally nuanced range and a sense of theatricality which results in legendary interpretations. Famous for her convincing embodiments of Puccini’s roles, here the soprano throws herself into the intimate exercise of recital in the company of her young compatriot Alexandra Dariescu – a pianist who performed at BOZAR last season, as part of her The Nutcracker and I. After a foray into the universe of Baroque, Angela Gheorghiu will pay homage to Tiberiu Brediceanu, a major figure in improving the image of traditional Romanian music, not to mention the Italian operatic repertoire.
