The Royal Museum of Mariemont organizes two days of conferences for the general public, presented by international specialists on ancient Alexandria.
Friday 28 October at Bozar will be devoted to ancient and recent archaeological research, both on land and underwater, with an overview of the renovation project of the Greco-Roman Museum of Alexandria. These presentations will be followed by a visit to the exhibition Alexandria: Past Futures with co-curator Arnaud Quertinmont.
On Saturday 29 October, at the Royal Museum of Mariemont, presentations will focus on the material culture and religious landscape of Alexandria, followed by a visit to the exhibition Egypt: Everlasting Passion with its curator Arnaud Quertinmont.
Conferences in French and English, without translation.
Programme proposed within the framework of the European project Alexandria: (Re)activating common urban imaginaries supported by the European Union's Europe Creative programme.
