‘Ali Shaker’

Ali Shaker aims to highlight and spread the passion of Middle Eastern music with this concert. This inspires him to perform a mix of his own compositions and well-known works. The kanun (or qanûn) is a typical Eastern stringed and plucked instrument. The combination with trumpet and percussion is no coincidence either: they are important instruments in the Middle Eastern music scene. There, they are part of the historical heritage and express the fascinating, rich identity of Eastern Music.
