This young German pianist, originally from Kiev, has already made the grade. He is gladly received by large orchestras at home and abroad, as well as concert organisers and festivals. This is without doubt due to his musical interpretation, which is always rich in surprising nuance and contrasts. The means by which he does it appear limitless, but he is clever enough not to overdo it and always gives a spontaneous and authentic musical discourse. It is hardly surprising then, that he favours Chopin. The Polish composer features frequently in Gorlatch's recordings.
