‘Alexandre Tharaud’

Alexandre Tharaud's popularity with French music-lovers was demonstrated by his Victoires de la Musique Classique award in 2012 and his role in Michael Haneke's film Amour that same year. At BOZAR, he will perform music that he regards as "a cycle without any equivalent in the history of the piano repertoire and in which every variation is a masterpiece": Bach's monumental Goldberg Variations, which are, of course, irrevocably associated with Glenn Gould's recordings.
