‘Alcea Kwartet’

Formed in 2012 at the instigation of the Danel Quartet, the Alcea Quartet performs both inside and outside Belgium. Enjoying the support of ProQuartet and recent winners of the Vocatio grant, the four musicians have taken part in master classes under the supervision of musicians drawn from major quartets (Alban Berg, Talich and Artemis, for example). Their repertoire ranges from classical music to contemporary works. As shown in their BOZAR concert, during which they will be playing works by Franz Schubert, Maurice Ravel and Toshio Hosokawa .
