Water Music

The Berlin ensemble presents four baroque works that display a fascination with water. Composed as pure entertainment, all four owe much to the French suite, although each composer created a distinctive sound. A programme of this kind obviously has to include Handel's celebrated Water Music – a work that could have been written for the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin and its colourful and exuberant style of playing.
