Half a century in the insatiable pursuit of ancient music: few ensembles can boast such a feat! Founded by Paul Van Nevel in 1971, the Huelgas Ensemble celebrates its jubilee in the company of its friends, Peter Dijkstra’s Nederlands Kamerkoor, and Jos Van Immerseel’s instrumental ensemble Anima Eterna. The famous vocal ensemble takes you on a polyphonic journey through history, from medieval motets to the modern harmonies of Messiaen, via an exhilarating masterpiece for 24 voices (!) by Josquin Desprez, Qui habitat in adjutorio altissimi.
