At the invitation of the Indialogue festival in Ghent, four leading Indian and European musicians present a unique combination of instruments. The European violin and cello meet the sarangi and kamaicha, two bowed violins with ancient roots, the first of which is specific to Indian classical music and the second dedicated to the traditional music of Rajasthan. Inspired by the European classical string quartet, the musicians experiment with different combinations of North Indian classical ragas, South Indian talas, Rajasthani folk songs and forms of Western classical music. A total of 49 strings will vibrate in harmony and whisk you off to an extraordinary world of sound.
