Marthe Ramm Fortun

Marthe Ramm Fortun selecteert een aantal portretten uit het BOZAR expo-drieluik - Blik op de ander (Faces Now, Faces Then, The Sultan’s World) - en nodigt u in haar performances uit om die te herinterpreteren. Fortun focust op intieme details om zo een narratief te creëren. Ze improviseert, refereert aan klassieke thema’s, gebruikt plastische en poëticale elementen om werk te creëren dat een dialoog aangaat met de toeschouwer. Haar conversatieperformances zijn een bescheiden verzet tegen wat Walter Benjamin het verdwijnen van de orale cultuur noemde.

Marthe Ramm Fortun studeerde in 2014 af aan het HISK in Gent. Werk van haar was te zien op Performa 13 in New York en Playground 14 in Museum M in Leuven. Van 7 maart tot 11 april stelt ze ten toon bij Komplot Art Gallery in Brussel.
