We are pleased to present to you the world famous violin virtuoso and conductor VLADIMIR SPIVAKOV and his famous chamber orchestra MOSCOW VIRTUOSI on his 40 years European tour on the occasion of the founding of the orchestra in 1979!!
Vladimir Spivakov studied with Yury Yankelevich and at last with the legendary David Oistrakh, one of the greatest violinists of the 20th century. Since an early age Vladimir Spivakov was awarded with high prizes at the most important international music competitions.
During his career as a violin solist, he began training as a
conductor and made his debut as conductor of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in 1979 at a Ravinia Festival Summer Concert. This was soon followed by numerous further engagements.
Also he founded in 1979 the chamber orchestra MOSCOW VIRTUOSI which quickly became known as one of the best chamber orchestras in the world. The orchestra is recruited by the best musicians, voices and soloists of the symphony and chamber orchestras of Moscow.
The orchestra is playing over 100 concerts a year and has performed in almost every country in Europe, the US and Japan. With more than 100 concerts per year in almost every country in Europe as well as the USA and Japan as well as numerous CD recordings, the Moscow Virtuosi have become a fixed constant in international concert life.
